Green Vertical

Lost amidst verticals
Of market, power
And what not
Is an escape route
To the green vertical

Let’s go!

  1. ooooooooooohhhhh! Awesome!! 🙂

  2. Sakhi, it is a regular slice of Coorg 🙂

  3. Ah! Kodagu district, the Scotland of India! I’ve visited it only once, but I fell in love with the beautiful place! Gorgeous Kodava women wear the saree in a unique way and the school children play hockey! The fabulous hills interspersed with stunning valleys and charming little towns, it is a lovely paradise! 🙂

  4. Ahhh…..I am lost in the beauty!! certainly!!

  5. Raj, your summary is very accurate. It is indeed called the Scotland of India. Perhaps, Sahaja can confirm it?

Sahaja, you really got carried away. I am flattered 🙂

  6. Yup certainly…..there is a place called Loch Ness in Scotland….I visited in spring/summer transition when my mom came 2 months back…..Its similar to this….And patha hai? after you see scotland (be it snow/spring), you would fall in love with the place wanting to go there more and more!!! And even lake district didnt seem so beautiful, calm and peaceful sachi!!!…..
But I never visited coorg [:(]…I hope to soon coz after this assignment in UK, i am back in blore 🙂

  7. very nice photograph. Great 🙂

  8. @Sahaja, you can take your time, coz Coorg is best seen during monsoon. Meanwhile, don’t you think it would be a good idea you shared your photos in a photoblog of your own?

    @kanagu, thanks and welcome 🙂

  9. Heaven on Earth!!!

We have been wanting to visit Coorg and have planned on three occassions but for some reason have not been able to make it.

Hopefully, next year we should be able to finally visit.

  10. @Mavin, timing is tricky. Monsoon is the best time but rains can cut off Coorg until flood water recedes. Just after floods, river is primed for rafting. A couple of days in a home-stay in Coorg will be memorable.

  11. Awesome!!
for one who comes to see it but for one who lives there…..well it’s dificult to say !

That is precisely why people must travel 🙂

  12.
